Assocoral is the National Association of Coral, Cameos and Related Materials Producers; including Goldsmiths, Traders, Sales Agents, and Jewelry Designers working with coral, cameos, and similar materials.

Founded in Torre del Greco (NA) in 1977, as the natural continuation of the Union of Coral Workers active since the early 1900s, Assocoral aims to enhance, protect, preserve, and promote everything related to the craftsmanship and industry of coral, cameos, and related materials, as well as the associated goldsmithing sectors.

To this end, the association:

Promotes and develops the organizational awareness of industry professionals, defending their professional interests;

Protects and supports the represented categories in trade union, economic, technical, and professional matters, wherever needed;

Supports and helps solve issues concerning the represented categories by conducting and coordinating studies;

Encourages vocational training for workers in the member categories, with special attention to apprenticeships, to improve the skills of new professionals and business owners alike, as well as to retrain existing ones;

Promotes the establishment of cooperatives and consortia, aiming to better align member companies with market conditions, goods, services, and technological progress;

Develops cultural and technical initiatives through publications and support services;

Promotes and strengthens relationships with national and international organizations and institutions operating in the represented fields.

Assocoral has promoted numerous study days, conferences, and seminars focused on raw material issues and industry protection. It has also organized major promotional and cultural events, including prestigious exhibitions in New York, Monte Carlo, Basel, Milan, Vicenza, Barcelona, Rome, and Torre del Greco.

Currently, Assocoral is focused on three major areas:
Protection of coral resources,
Development and marketing of member companies,
and International promotion of products.
