Last September we introduced the project “From Waste to Sign”, promoted by Politecnico di Milano in collaboration with Assocoral.
After an initial theoretical phase focused on the symbolic and sustainable value of materials, students moved on to the practical stage, working directly on real coral fragments kindly provided by Antonino De Simone, Aucella, and Bruno Mazza.
Soon, the young designers will present their final works — the result of a path that merges research, creativity, and artisanal tradition.
This initiative stands as a meaningful example of dialogue between the academic and manufacturing worlds, fostering positive exchanges and new collaborations.
A special thanks to Politecnico di Milano and Professors Alba Cappellieri, Federica Fabiano, and Susanna Testa for sharing this vision of innovation and sustainability rooted in craftsmanship.
