Corals and Cameos bloom at Vicenzaoro
September marks the restart of major industry fairs and, as usual, the first appointment is with Vicenzaoro, scheduled from September 5 to 9. The event is among the top three in the world, along with Hong Kong and Las Vegas, and has always featured companies from Torre del Greco.
In this edition, companies associated with Assocoral will play a leading role.
The main novelty is the presence of an institutional Assocoral stand (Hall 4, Stand 704B), where throughout the fair skilled artisans from Torre del Greco will give live demonstrations of coral and cameo working. The stand will also serve as an information point, with an updated list of members and their location at the fair, as well as useful materials to get to know the sector up close.
Assocoral will also participate as a sponsor at the Welcome Cocktail, on Friday, September 5 at 7:30 pm in Piazza dei Signori. The event will feature hostesses wearing coral and cameo jewelry and the distribution of 1000 gifts made by 10 member companies. There will also be an area dedicated to live craft demonstrations.
The cultural and in-depth program will see president Vincenzo Aucella involved in several talks:
· Sunday, September 7, 11:45 am: conference “The challenge of identity: Campania jewelry between local culture and innovation” organized by D.Or Campania, with a focus on IGP recognition.
· Sunday, September 7, 3:45 pm: Federpreziosi Retail Talk “Jewelry and AI: the alliance you don't expect”.
· Monday, September 8, 10:45 am: meeting “Cameo: the (Still) Undiscovered Jewel of the Sea”, promoted by Assocoral, IGI, and Federpreziosi.
As every year, VIOFF also returns, the Vicenzaoro off-show. With the theme “Golden Bloom”, on Saturday, September 6, two artisans from Torre del Greco will be featured at the Vicenza Jewelry Museum, with experiential workshops dedicated to pre-registered visitors.
«It will be a different Vicenzaoro for us, where the coral and cameo of Torre del Greco will be increasingly at the center of attention», declares president Aucella. «We have put important actions in place, such as the 1000 gifts for the inauguration, made possible thanks to the commitment of the members and the Board of Directors. A heartfelt thanks goes to IEG and the Golden Team, with whom we have worked closely over the past two months, always finding great professionalism and availability».
Special attention will also be given to young artisans: among the protagonists will be Alessandro Simonelli, son of master Pietro Simonelli, a graduate of the Francesco Degni Institute and now employed in the company thanks to a training program made possible by the Cologni Foundation. This model of collaboration between school, association, and foundation will be replicated as early as September with a new student.
A tangible sign of how teamwork between institutions and businesses can guarantee the sector's future and continuity.
