“EXEMPLA – The Grand Tour of Campania Know-How” inaugurated at the Maritime Station of Naples
This morning the new set-up of “EXEMPLA – The Grand Tour of Campania Know-How” was inaugurated, the initiative organized by the Campania Region to enhance and promote the excellence of regional artistic and production craftsmanship.
Taking part in the ribbon-cutting were the Regional Councillor for Tourism, Territorial Promotion and Digital Transition of the Campania Region Vincenzo Maraio, the Director General for Cultural Policies and Tourism Rosanna Romano, the CEO and General Manager of Terminal Napoli S.p.A. Tommaso Cognolato and the Mayor of Torre del Greco Luigi Mennella.
A strategic showcase for Campania excellence
The exhibition is hosted inside the Maritime Station of Naples, in the area dedicated to cruise passengers’ embarkation and disembarkation.
The cruise terminal represents, together with Naples International Airport and the railway station, one of the main gateways to the city. A role set to become even more significant in 2027, on the occasion of the America’s Cup, when traffic at the port could reach two million passengers.
In this context, EXEMPLA takes on strategic value: welcoming visitors from all over the world by presenting them, from their very first entry into the city, with Campania’s heritage of knowledge, creativity and production skills.
Campania’s “beautiful and well made”
The response from trade associations, companies and individual artisans was particularly significant.
The hub has been enriched with artifacts, workmanship and testimonies that represent the “beautiful and well made” of our region. A collective story spanning territories, traditions and different skills, showing how Campania craftsmanship is still today a key element of the local cultural and economic identity.
Through the works on display, visitors will be able to discover not only the finished products, but also the stories, techniques and the heritage of knowledge handed down by generations of master artisans.
Not a static exhibition, but a living space
EXEMPLA will not be a simple permanent display.
A calendar of events, meetings and live demonstrations is in fact planned, designed to make the hub a dynamic space able to engage different audiences. The initiatives will aim to attract tourists passing through the Maritime Station, but also to bring the local population closer to Campania’s production and artistic excellence.
A project that brings together craftsmanship, culture, tourism and territorial promotion, turning tradition into a concrete tool for development and an opportunity to present to the world the talent and creativity of our region.
